From Mine to Mug: Fazenda Paradiso's Farm-to-Cup Dream
Fazenda Paradiso embodies a unique blend of heritage and innovation, born from founder Vicente de Paulo Pereira's post-retirement dream. Bringing his business acumen from a career in mining, Vicente established a true farm-to-cup operation, cultivating diverse varietals like Topazio and Bourbon Amarelo at Fazenda Paradiso in Minas Gerais.
Their Rio de Janeiro café, a "Cafeteria Revelação" award winner by Espresso Magazine in 2018, is nestled within a beautifully restored 19th-century historic building, a testament to their commitment to preserving history while crafting exceptional coffee. This family affair, with daughter Marina as a proprietor and barista, ensures a soulful, quality-driven experience.Beyond their meticulously grown beans, Fazenda Paradiso offers an immersive coffee journey. Guests can explore a wide array of manual brewing methods, including the rare Siphon (Globinho), alongside Hario V60 and Chemex.
Their culinary team pushes boundaries with innovative coffee-infused dishes, such as risotto with coffee and funghi, and pasta with a coffee-based sauce. For the home enthusiast, they uniquely offer unroasted green coffee beans ("grão cru"), fostering a deeper connection to the craft. Through direct trade partnerships with international roasters like DISTRICT Roasters, Fazenda Paradiso proudly shares the richness of Brazilian specialty coffee with the world.
