Brawn & Brains Coffee

Brawn & Brains Coffee has been roasting in Singapore since 2013, and the brand's current home on Hamilton Road in Kallang reflects what years of small-batch practice produces. The original Guillemard Road flagship — inside the Old Singapore Badminton Hall — has been closed since 2022 for renovation works, and Hamilton Road has taken over as the main café and roastery hub.

The coffee programme is unhurried and character-driven. Lots are sourced for clarity, roasts run light-to-medium, and the menu rotates as the harvest calendar moves. There is no signature blend that has to be everything to everyone — instead, every coffee is a deliberate choice. The café side runs a clean house espresso, a rotating single-origin filter option, and a small line of milk-based drinks, with retail bags stocked along the back wall.

A five-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, this is one of Kallang's most reliable specialty stops and a useful detour for anyone exploring beyond Singapore's central specialty corridor. Order a filter, take a seat, and let the cup move at its own pace.
