Coffee Roaster
Czarna Fala
★ 4.5
Local-favourite specialty roaster (est. 2015) — full-bodied African origins and standout espresso blends.
Czarna Fala — "Black Wave" — started roasting in 2015, back when Poland's third-wave market was still finding its feet, and has since become one of the names Warsaw's coffee community defends most fiercely. Ask locals where to buy beans and this roastery comes up again and again, especially for its espresso blends and round, full-bodied African single origins.
You'll find it on the grounds of Fort Mokotów, where the operation runs as café and roastery in one — a chance to drink the coffee metres from where it's roasted. The pedigree is real: co-owner Konrad Konstantynowicz spent years building and running Filtry, the café credited with starting Warsaw specialty, before turning his attention to roasting here.
For anyone who wants to understand how Polish roasting matured from raw beginnings into genuine craft, Czarna Fala is the story in a cup. Come taste why locals rate it so highly.
