Lot Zero — coffee roaster in Milan

Coffee Roaster

Lot Zero

A beans-first micro-roastery and training space tucked in an old Tortona courtyard — see the coffee roasted on-site.

Lot Zero is the kind of place you seek out rather than stumble into — a micro-roastery tucked inside an old Milanese courtyard on Via Valparaiso, a stone's throw from the Tortona design quarter. Operated by the Sevengrams (7Gr) team, it's unapologetically beans-first: this is somewhere to watch coffee being roasted, talk method with people who live and breathe it, and leave with a bag rather than settle in for brunch. The roastery leans into specialty single origins and small lots, and there's a training space for cuppings and brewing sessions, underlining the educational bent. Retail coffee is available on-site and via home delivery for the espresso obsessives who keep coming back. It's compact, focused and a little bit insider — exactly what you want from a roaster's roastery. If you care more about the lot number than the latte art, this is your Milan stop.
