Ministerstwo Kawy
★ 4.6
Famous Śródmieście brew bar — multi-method filter board with Swedish Koppi espresso.
Ministerstwo Kawy — the Ministry of Coffee — is one of the names every Warsaw coffee guide reaches for, and with good reason. You'll find it on Marszałkowska, west through rows of government buildings and embassies from Łazienki Park, in a bright room lit by famously spidery desk lamps.
The draw is the brew bar. On any given day there are several coffees to choose from, each offered across three vessels — a tiny Kalita 155, a V60 and a Chemex — a level of filter variability that sets Warsaw apart from most cities. Espresso comes courtesy of revered Swedish roaster Koppi, with rotating international filters alongside. There are plant milks and vegan pastries too, plus a legendary cranberry beza (a Polish take on the Pavlova) for anyone who can't resist.
It can get busy — it's earned its fame. Grab a seat under the lamps and work your way down the filter board.
