Partisan: Where Craft Coffee Meets Community and Culture

Partisan embodies a unique dual coffee philosophy, inviting patrons to choose between a robust, traditional Italian-style roast and a bright, modern "New Wave" single-origin. Co-founder Georges Karam, a former financial analyst, infuses his craft with a physicist's precision and a historian's deep appreciation for coffee culture. Inspired by

Paris's vibrant craft beer movement, Partisan brings a similar artisanal dedication to coffee, meticulously roasting all beans in-house on a prominent roaster that anchors the café's industrial-chic space. The ambiance is distinctly "Brooklyn-esque," featuring high ceilings, abundant natural light, and massive floor-to-ceiling windows that retract to open the space to the street.

This design fosters a lively, social atmosphere, further encouraged by a "no laptops" policy that prioritizes human connection and conversation. Complementing their exceptional coffee, Partisan collaborates with local artisans for its food offerings, including pastries from Muscovado and croissants from the historic Stohrer patisserie. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the café elegantly transforms into a wine and champagne bar, serving artisanal cheeses and charcuterie.
