Coffee Collective: A Journey of Transparency, Taste, and Education

Founded in 2007 by a team including World Barista Champion (2006) Klaus Thomsen, Coffee Collective embodies a unique "collective" philosophy. Their iconic triangle logo symbolizes the direct connection between farmer, roaster, and barista, a commitment reflected in their pioneering direct trade model. They pay prices far above market level, ensuring financial sustainability for producers and offering unprecedented transparency by detailing farmer payments.

This dedication to ethical sourcing and quality is showcased at their Frederiksberg roastery, where a glass wall invites customers to observe the roasting process and take courses. Certified as a B Corp, their high standards of social and environmental performance are evident.

Beyond their clean café interiors, one notable branch, Telefonkiosken, offers a charmingly unique experience within a historic phone booth. Coffee Collective meticulously develops individual roasting profiles, separating roasts for espresso and filter to highlight each bean's natural flavors.

They actively explore new and challenging regions, like Tolima in Colombia, bringing diverse origins to their customers. Complementing their exceptional coffee, their "Collective Bakery" produces fresh sourdough and exquisite pastries, perfectly designed to enhance the coffee experience. Their commitment to sharing knowledge extends to their book, "The Fundamentals of Excellent Coffee," cementing their role as educators.
