Jonas Reindl Coffee Roasters

Jonas Reindl Coffee Roasters opened its first café in 2014 and has since become one of the most-cited names in Vienna's specialty scene. The founder travels to source farms personally — Nicaragua features prominently — and that bean-to-cup transparency is the brand's whole identity. Two locations matter: the Westbahnstraße flagship in Neubau hosts the roaster itself, and the Alsergrund branch on Währinger Straße catches the university crowd.

The coffee programme leans on Jonas Reindl's own roasts paired with a guest roaster from elsewhere in Europe every month, so the menu never gets stale. Expect single-origins on espresso and filter, hand-brews to order, and a focus on lighter, fruit-forward profiles. The spaces are minimalist and bright; the crowd is a mix of working creatives, locals on a coffee run, and coffee tourists who came specifically.
