KB Cafeshop: Parisian pioneers, blending Aussie spirit with a passion for unique, blind-tasted beans. Discover rare, experimental roasts from their integrated roastery.

Born from a deep appreciation for Melbourne and Sydney's vibrant coffee culture, Nicolas Piégay brought specialty coffee to Paris in 2010 with KB Cafeshop. Named as a tribute to the Australian Kookaburra, KB quickly became a pioneer, introducing Parisians to exceptional European roasters. Their "self-centered" sourcing philosophy ensures every bean is chosen through blind tastings, reflecting a genuine love for what they personally enjoy, rather than chasing trends.
This dedication to taste defines their unique character and commitment to quality. Before establishing their own roastery, KB honed their craft at "The Beans On Fire." This commitment to excellence fostered talent, with their barista Edouard Shao becoming the French Cup Tasters Champion and ranking 20th globally. KB Coffee Roasters is renowned for its rare and experimental offerings, such as a distinctive natural anaerobic Ethiopian from Chelichele.
Their ambitious journey culminated in 2019 with "Back in Black," a sprawling 200-square-meter space that seamlessly integrates a bustling coffee shop, a full kitchen, and their state-of-the-art roastery, solidifying their place at the forefront of Parisian coffee innovation.
