Little Darling Coffee Roasters
★ 4.3
Aoyama destination roastery-café. Head barista Coffee Fest Latte Art championship finalist. 5 hand-selected seasonal single origins, roasted in-house. Courtyard seating.
Little Darling Coffee Roasters opened in 2018 inside Share Green Minami Aoyama — a hybrid retail and event complex built around repurposed warehouses and a manicured central lawn, a few minutes' walk from Nogizaka Station. The café itself is bright and California-styled, intentionally open, with a glass-walled roastery, a long counter, and a courtyard that fills up on weekends.
The coffee programme is led by head barista Naoya Akagawa — a Coffee Fest Latte Art World Championship Open finalist — and runs a five-bean lineup of hand-selected seasonal single origins, all roasted in-house. Service covers hand-drip, espresso, AeroPress, and batch brew, plus a pastry and bao menu developed in partnership with local bakers.
The space is a deliberate counterpoint to the quieter, more austere Tokyo specialty venues. It's lively, often busy, and built equally for serious coffee and for hanging out on the lawn with a cortado. The technical execution behind the counter is among Tokyo's strongest, even if the aesthetic leans more LA than Aoyama.
A useful pairing with a Roppongi or Aoyama afternoon, and one of the most distinctive specialty rooms in the city.
