Mokha 1450 has been the UAE's only luxury-specialty operator since founder Garfield Kerr — a certified Q-Grader — set out to do for coffee what a Michelin restaurant does for food. The boutique sits on Wasl Road with a second branch on Palm Jumeirah, and its brand identity has earned it an SCA Coffee Design Award.
The coffee programme is built around rare-origin single-origins: Cuban Turquino, Yemeni heirlooms, Panamanian Geisha. Lots arrive in small allocations, presented at the bar with origin context and tasting structure. If you've ever wanted to drink the rarest beans on the market in a setting designed for it, this is the room.
The space is intimate and considered — equal parts coffee bar and boutique. Quiet, attentive service; serious staff; coffee at the centre.
