Amsterdam's pioneering, plastic-free specialty coffee roastery, founded by Patrick Abbott, meticulously roasts ethically sourced beans and fosters community with sustainable practices.

Founded in 2016 by Irishman Patrick Abbott, who brought his 25 years of Australian experience to Amsterdam, this specialty coffee haven embodies a pioneering spirit. From its inception, the roastery has been entirely plastic-free, years ahead of local regulations, showcasing a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.
Every detail, from compostable sugar cane cups to paper straws, reflects this commitment. They even offer used coffee grounds to customers for gardening or skincare, and deliver their ethically sourced beans via electric bicycle, minimizing their carbon footprint.
At the heart of their operation is a 12kg Probat roaster, where ethically sourced beans are meticulously roasted in-house to highlight their unique characteristics. The focus remains on quality and origin. Beyond exceptional coffee, they foster a vibrant community through fun, jargon-free, hands-on specialty coffee classes, welcoming everyone from curious beginners to seasoned home baristas. Sourcing fresh produce from local businesses that share their commitment to quality further cements their role as a truly conscious and community-driven establishment.
