Moonshine Coffee Roasters

Moonshine Coffee Roasters is hard to miss with its white facade and "We Drink Coffee Under Moonlight" tagline written across it. Founded by Zenki Ho in 2018, the cafe sets out to inject a dose of Prohibition-era speakeasy spirit into Taipei's coffee scene. Zenki is an SCA-certified instructor and the 2023 Hong Kong Brewers Cup Champion — the pedigree shows in every cup.

Walk in and the industrial-chic interior greets you immediately: exposed concrete walls, raw urban textures, and a "No worries, Be coffee" neon adding a lighter touch. At the centre of the room sits the illuminated brew bar — a coffee-lover's playground fitted with serious gear, where the day's filter selections are pulled in front of you. This is the focal point, not an afterthought.

The brew programme leans into method-driven precision: rotating single-origins, careful extractions, and a clear bias toward the cup-as-event rather than the cup-as-fuel.
