Seniman Coffee Studio

Seniman Coffee Studio is where Bali's specialty scene was born. It opened in 2010 in the cultural heart of Ubud, an artist's take on a coffee house — the name means "artisan" — and grew into a full studio: a micro-roastery, a cold-drip production lab, a green-bean sourcing arm working directly with Indonesian farmers, and a café furnished with its own hand-built recliner chairs.

The coffee is resolutely local and serious. Single origins from across the archipelago — Bali Kintamani, Sumatra, Flores — are roasted in-house and served as espresso, batch brew and a signature cold-drip flight. Daily workshops walk visitors through cupping and brewing, and the kitchen turns out modern Indonesian dishes alongside the usual café fare. It's a destination in its own right: come for a tasting, linger for an afternoon, and leave understanding why so much of Bali's coffee story traces back to this one Ubud studio.
