Subko Coffee Roasters & Bakehouse

Subko built its name in Mumbai as India's defining third-wave operator — sourcing direct from Karnataka micro-lot estates, roasting them seriously, and turning the country's specialty conversation on its head. The 5,000+ sqft Alserkal Avenue flagship is Subko's global debut and its largest space anywhere.

The coffee programme is what you'd expect from a roaster that's spent the last few years rewriting India-origin's reputation: rotating single-origins, fermentation-process micro-lots, both espresso and filter built to highlight terroir. The bakehouse — Subko's specialty alongside coffee — runs sourdough and Indian-influenced pastry from the same kitchen.

Warehouse 15 at Alserkal is a storytelling space: roastery visible from the bar, long communal tables, a generous filter programme, easy to spend an afternoon in. Cultural crowd from the avenue's galleries, coffee crowd making the pilgrimage.
