Unlimited Coffee Bar

4.4

Single-origin rule for espresso AND filter. In-house roasted. SCA-accredited barista training school upstairs. Near Tokyo Skytree.

Unlimited Coffee Bar sits a few minutes from Tokyo Skytree, in a quieter pocket of Sumida-ku that doesn't get the foot traffic of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa or Kuramae. That works in its favour: the venue runs as both a working café and a training school, with an SCA-accredited barista programme upstairs and a steady flow of professional students through the space.

The defining commitment is single origin everywhere — not just filter, but espresso too. Where most cafés blend for espresso, Unlimited pulls single-origin espresso shots from the same rotating lineup it offers on pour-over, which is rare enough globally that visiting professionals seek it out specifically. Recent features have included Rwanda Ruli kare and rotating Ethiopian and Honduran lots.

Beans are roasted in-house. The café-classroom split means you'll often catch a tasting or cupping session happening in the back; the front-of-house service is fast, friendly, and patient with curious questions.

A useful pairing with a Skytree visit, and one of the most committed expressions of single-origin philosophy in any specialty coffee city.
