Miró Manufaktur de Café — coffee roaster in Zurich

Coffee Roaster

Miró Manufaktur de Café

4.6

Single-origin specialty — Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, rotating micro-lots. Probat roastery on Brauerstrasse since 2013. Direct partnerships at origin.

Miró began in 2013 when Dani Sanchez — hooked by Australian third-wave culture while travelling — came home, persuaded his brother David, and lit up a 5kg Probat in a disused suburban garage. Twelve years on, that garage operation is Brauerstrasse 58 in Kreis 4: a café-and-roastery combo that took home crema Schweiz's Roaster of the Year 2025.

The selection runs through Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya and rotating single-origins like Villa Pastora and Banko Gotiti, with espresso and filter subscription tiers behind the retail wall. The brand also operates a store at HB Central on Bahnhofstrasse, a coffee truck that moves around the city, and — since April 2021 — the in-flight specialty coffee programme for SWISS airlines. Features in the Financial Times, Gault Millau, NZZ and Monocle line the wall.

The brothers describe the operation simply: 'outstanding coffee should be accessible for everyone — seed to cup.' What that means in practice is a clean specialty bar that doesn't make you work for the menu, anchored by a roastery you can hear running from the espresso bar.
