Moon Phases Coffee is the kind of place you go because someone in the industry told you to. Owner Té is, in his own words, "an espresso nerd" — a decade of brewing in Australian specialty before returning to Bangkok and opening a small, focused café in a Phraya Pradiphat alley.

His philosophy is unmistakable. Espresso is extracted at lower-than-standard pressure to draw out clarity over crema, and milk drinks are deliberately cooled to let the coffee's full flavour come through — a counterintuitive but rigorous approach that's earned the bar a devoted following. The bean menu rotates 3–4 single-origin coffees at a time, plus a handful of carefully made Thai-style coffees that respect the original technique.

The space is small, quiet, and feels more like the personal workshop of one barista than a commercial café. Closed Fri–Sun, which is part of the charm. If you're tracking Bangkok's owner-operator specialty scene — the bars where one person actually cares about every cup — Moon Phases belongs at the top of the list.
