Ombak Coffee

Ombak (rebranded from Omnia in 2024) is the only Indonesian specialty coffee programme of its scale in Zurich. The owner is from Indonesia; the green coffee is sourced direct from Indonesian producers, and roasted locally in Switzerland by Henauer to Ombak's specifications — so the bar pours a profile you don't find anywhere else in the DACH region.

The Stauffacherstrasse 105 café serves their signature Black Pearl blend, Sumatran filter, flat whites and an Indonesian food/sweets menu (Mango Sticky Rice, matcha programmes). Home barista courses and vegan options sit on the menu alongside Indonesian specialty-grade green and roasted beans for retail.

The Indonesian-sourcing angle is what makes Ombak distinct rather than just another good bar. It's a real single-origin programme from an under-represented producing country, served by people who know exactly where the coffee came from and why it tastes the way it does.
