Phil Coffee Company

Phil Coffee Company is the quiet heavyweight of Bangkok specialty. Founded in 2011 by Han Wang and his sisters Iwuen and Jaszmine — before the 2013 wave that brought Roots, Brave, and Ceresia online — Phil pioneered small-batch artisan roasting and direct-trade sourcing with Thai farms in the north.

The roastery is the engine of the operation: about three-quarters of the business is wholesale, supplying beans to a who's-who of Bangkok specialty bars including Ink & Lion. Han himself took 1st runner-up at the Thailand Roasting Championship in 2018, and the team's hand-roasted single origins land on filter and espresso menus across the city.

The café side is intentionally simple — a straightforward menu of single-origin filters, simple espresso drinks, cold brew, and the kind of unfussy room you'd expect from a roastery that lets the coffee do the talking.
