Samadool Coffee

4.8

Single-location micro-roastery, regular cupping sessions, single-origin filter and espresso, drip-bag retail.

Samadool — Thai for "balance" — is one of Bangkok's most quietly serious micro-roasteries. Set down Soi Sukhumvit 49/1 in Khlong Tan Nuea, the family-run café and roastery has built a reputation around a calm, focused approach to specialty: small-batch roasting, transparent sourcing, and a regular cupping-session programme that draws both industry cuppers and curious amateurs.

The menu is single-origin-forward. Filter options pull from Guatemala and Ethiopia; espresso work tends toward Colombian single origins, and the team will roast and sell coffee from northern Thai farms when seasonally available. A line of home-brew drip bags lets visitors take the bar's coffee home with them.

The space is warm and lived-in — small, family-run, the kind of café that gets repeat visits because the bar remembers what you ordered last time. Cupping sessions are open to the public and worth booking if you want a structured introduction to what makes single-origin work tick. A reliable Sukhumvit stop for filter drinkers.
